The “No Dirty Gold Campaign” raises awareness amongst customers, retailers and the general public about the impacts of gold mining. The mining industry has been asked to address its practises so that gold is not produced at the expense of communities, worker and the environment. Mydiamonds is fully supportive of the campaign and ensures commitment and compliance from all suppliers.
Mydiamonds are full supporters of the “No Dirty Gold” Campaign and their 12 Golden Rules for mining practice, but what is the campaign all about?
|
| The 12 Golden Rules 1. Respect for basic human rights outlined in international conventions and law 2. Free, prior and informed consent of affected communities 3. Safe working conditions 4.
