Whilst Diamonds are the hardest natural substance known to man they will still need some looking after.
They are extremely resistant to damage but a hard blow across the grain could cause a diamond to chip. By having your diamond set in a quality protective setting and taking good care of it you can keep your diamond intact for a lifetime.
Diamonds can scratch each other, as well as other stones and metals, so always try to keep them separate from your other jewellery.
Exposure during wear to perspiration, cosmetics and household chemicals can cause a build-up that dulls the surface of any gem, so here at Mydiamonds we suggest regular cleaning to keep the diamond brilliant and refractive ensuring you always show it off to its full potential.

Mydiamonds recommend using a jewellery and diamond solution to clean your diamond jewellery and if you are cleaning the diamond piece by hand, gentle scrubbing with a soft brush should loosen any build up and greatly increase the brilliance of the diamond, but be careful not to scratch the metal of your setting.
You can also use a sonic jewellery cleaning machine combined with jewellery cleaning solution, this will vibrate your diamond Jewellery gently removing any build up that may have occurred. | |
